What this local build stores

This is a development version of the Atlantic Cypher platform running on a local machine. Data is stored in a local SQLite database and a local uploads folder.

• Volume 2 applications: the details you enter (artist name, contact details, location, bio, links) and any files you upload.
• Votes: the entry you voted for, a timestamp, and hashed identifiers for your browser, network and device cookie. Raw IP addresses are never stored.
• Comments: the display name and text you post, plus a hashed device identifier so you can delete your own comments.
• Newsletter: the email address you submit. No emails are sent until a mailing provider is connected.
• Test orders: the name and email entered at the development checkout. No payment details are ever collected.

Cookies

The site sets a functional device cookie (used for vote limits and comment ownership), and a session cookie for the admin area. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.

This page is a draft and must be reviewed by a legal professional before the platform goes live — including GDPR/UK GDPR requirements, data retention periods and processor agreements for any hosted services.
